Powerful Communication for Strong Relationships
I hear ya! OK, hearing doesn’t mean anything more than that you’ve registered sounds coming out of a person’s mouth. Communicating is one of the most challenging things human beings do between one another. Enhance every relationship you have by becoming a more effective communicator : Powerful Communication for Strong Relationships will teach you how to plan for more meaningful conversations, listen more effectively and keep emotion in the right context.
One of the reasons you don’t plan is that you don’t know how to plan to have a win-win conversation. You are taught by example from our parents, supervisors, friends, and family. Given our examples it’s trial by error. Sometimes it works and most times it doesn’t.
When it works you don’t know how it happened to be able to repeat it and when you don’t have successful conversations you feel defeated.
You’ll learn how to:
- 3 levels of listening to get to the heart of the matter
- Techniques for keeping your emotions out of your way
- The filters that can get in the way and how to avoid them
- 3 words to remove from your vocabulary
- Questions that help you get the information you need
- Questions to avoid
- How the language you use can be powerful or detrimental to communication
